Whipped goat cheese is an easy, elegant, and tangy spread that’s perfect for spreading over crunchy crostini or a charcuterie board. This recipe combines cream cheese with goat cheese for an extra creamy texture.

Goat cheese is made from goat’s milk and has a distinctively tangy flavor and creamy texture. It has a mild, somewhat earthy flavor that pairs well with sweet fruits and jams, making it a fantastic choice for a charcuterie board. It’s also fantastic with similar earthy flavors, such as beets (beet and goat cheese salad, anyone?).
Depending on how it’s aged, it can be soft and spreadable to firm and crumbly. This recipe turns any goat cheese into a smooth spread that’s just begging to be smeared onto a crunch crostini.

Ingredients for Whipped Goat Cheese with Honey
There are only a handful of ingredients needed to make whipped goat cheese. The beauty of this recipe is that you can adjust the amounts however you like! Add a bit more honey for a sweeter spread, or adjust the ratio of goat to cream cheese if you prefer more or less of the goat cheese flavor. These are the ingredients you’ll need:
- Goat cheese
- Cream cheese
- Heavy cream (optional)
- Honey
- Salt and Pepper
Equipment Needed
A food processor is best for the creamiest result, but a blender or even an immersion blender will also work. You can even whisk the mixture until it’s smooth and creamy, although this will take a lot of time and arm strength to get there!
You’ll also need a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl/food processor, and having a pretty serving dish ready is also helpful.

How to Make Whipped Goat Cheese with Honey
If you know how to use a blender or food processor, then making any kind of whipped cheese will be a breeze. And if you’ve already made our whipped ricotta, then you’re a seasoned pro!
Add softened goat cheese, softened cream cheese, and a little heavy cream to the bowl of a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, about two minutes. You can add a bit more heavy cream—just a tablespoon at a time—until it’s at the perfect consistency.
Next, add a little honey and salt, then blend it again. Taste it and add more of any ingredient as needed. Transfer it to a serving bowl or dish alongside crunchy crostini, crackers, or sliced vegetables. Drizzle with a little more honey, crack on some pepper, and enjoy!
You can garnish with some freshly chopped herbs or a tiny sprinkle of red pepper flakes, too.
Storing and Making Ahead
Whipped Goat Cheese can be made up to three days ahead of time. Keep it stored in the refrigerator but allow it to come to room temperature before serving for the best results.
